In an effort to contribute to the future of the industry, ELK Engineering Associates, Inc. has initiated an ongoing summer intern program; partnering with Kilgore College to place qualified individuals enrolled in their corrosion program in a mentoring environment, allowing the intern to participate in hands-on training under the direction of NACE corrosion professionals. This summer we have placed two such individuals:
Jacob Isaacks is a second year student at Kilgore College. He recently received his CP 1 Tester certification from NACE International and is currently pursuing a degree in Corrosion Technology. He also holds an Associate Degree in Pre-med Studies.
Lynn Jones is a second year student at Kilgore College and will graduate in December 2010. He recently received his CP 1 Tester certification from NACE International and is currently pursuing an Engineering degree from UT Tyler.
The Corrosion Program at Kilgore College spans over two and one-half decades and has graduated technicians that are working world-wide in the industry. ELK is pleased to have the opportunity to be associated with such a well respected program.
