In 2009 ELK Engineering Associates, Inc was awarded a contract for facility wide cathodic protection of a multi-million dollar new construction project in Southwest Arkansas. The project is a design/build related to construction of an electrical generation facility serving Southern Arkansas and Eastern Oklahoma.
The project, using a custom designed impressed current cathodic protection system, will be a multi-year effort with projected conclusion in 2011.
The ELK design approach allows for consideration of the facility wide ground grid and its influence on the overall CP system requirements.
ELK continues to be an innovative leader regarding these types of systems.
